Jurassic PARKING

It’s Dinosaur Day,
and Willie made me laugh.
He read “Jurassic Park”
but only understood half.

He grabbed a bright vest,
and a SLOW sign to swing.
Certain “Jurassic Parking”
was the very same thing!

I said, “You old fossil,
that’s not what it means!”
But Willie kept directing
like the parking lot king.

I said, “Jurassic Park’s
for dinosaurs, you loon!”
He asked, “So they’re not here
for valet this afternoon?”

By the end of the day,
it was plain to see,
The only thing parked wrong
was Willie… not me!

So now every Dinosaur Day,
folks laugh when recalling.
When Willie turned Jurassic Park
into Jurassic Parking!
